You will learn the key underlying concepts that are critical to understanding how to use flash effectively in the field. Topics will include the inverse square law, front vs. rear sync, high-speed sync, flash zoom, manual vs. automatic flash, main vs. fill flash, and flash exposure composition.

This session will be held in Sugden Hall, Room 110 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on Friday March 6, 2020.

Recommended Equipment: We will not have much time in this session for hands-on experimentation with flash, but you should still bring your camera, a small lens, and a flash so that you can follow along as we discuss some of the basic features and operations.
